150 watt hps, 2 plants. Got a few questions?

Thanks. This would be my first grow. I'm not 100% sure if I want to do a grow journal yet. I think I should it would be the smart thing to do.

If the grows illegal, I wouldn't start a journal. As far as what you wanna do.. Where's you're heart? Have you read about all different types of grows? And did you find what you like best? Everyone is different and have there own ways, you gotta find what's right with you. It's not about the yield but how much fun, and experience you get. With lots of experience you could yield alot. But I wouldn't plan out that far ahead because you've never grown, and the way life works is things don't grow as planned. Try it, see if you like it, because you might not even like growing due to the fact that it's harder then it looks..

I grow sog. That's a way of my life

I grow in a tent around the same dimensions with a sun system 150w hps, first grow was one clone in a 5 gal pot yielded 106 grams almost a quarter pound. Now im on my second grow with three clones in 1 gal pots. I only vegged around 2 weeks with topping. I also used a screen mainly for a brace for the plant while also spreading out there branches don't know if i would call it a scrog but it worked quit well. hope the info helps.

Thanks that helped out a lot. I was looking on here for people with a similar setup as me. Did you transplant the clone straight to a 5 gallon pot?

scrog, upgrade light... and try to start in the pot your gonna finish in.

take about 2-3 months veg to get a MONSTER

Had similar setup. I grew 3 plants in I think 4 gallon containers I topped them a few times during veg to keep them short. Then just let them go naturally. Did okay, buds a little fluffy but definately enough for personal use. Then I went to a 250 hps. Big difference. Not much more heat or power. If your keeping it small I would still go with a 250. Myself i've moved on to the 600hps. Thats when the magic starts.
You probably would get a little more yield if you scrogged, but for me I did it the lazy way. Also I would flip to 12/12 when they where about a foot tall (from the dirt). They would grow almost another 2 feet depending on strain. Good luck

Yes, as soon as my clone got roots in a Dixie cup i transplanted it to a 5gal pot.

I have the Exact same setup and I am currently purchasing a 250 watt Hps. the 150 just doesn't cut it for my personal needs and canopy penetration is mediocre.
