this is an amazing idea and I would SO buy one if you made them on a commercial scale lol
dishwashers pump detergents with a special pump that is 3 rollers coming off of an axle and they squeeze the tube as they rotate, thus pumping in one direction. On a large scale i could see this type of nutrient pump being good
and i dont know if your into robotics but there are special motors called servo's and they run off of Gcode from your computer and you can calculate how many revolutions does what for whatever you want, say the pump i mentioned or even a light (which i would just have on a constant track ) but would be cool if you could move it where you wanted it. solenoid valves would be for draining+filling the resevoir. you could maybe get a special timer that works off of a computer and remote access it through another computer, i would just set pump timer/light timers manually, but it would be sweet to set it up through a computer. fan speed would be cool to change remotely too. then theres humidifiers and air conditioner and water temp control too. humidifier must have its own drain and then your probably good. not like u have to control your humidifier but it'd be sweet.
