So far we have a wooden frame. 6'x6'x5'. The whole thing will be lined with Panda film. Top, bottom, and all sides. This is a low budget room, so for lighting I waas thinking 4 4ft floro shop lights. after about a month of vedge we were planning to add a ventilation system. Up until that time we will have a small space heater and a fan in there. If any one has any suggestions they are more than welcome. Pics will be coming Monday.

2 400w would do nicely you could get 2 from cl for 50$ old high bay lights might have bulbs too. one hps one Mh. can filter 9000 (90 cfm model 70$) a 4 in centrifugal fan(70$) this will swap air in 2 min in your grow space. put it up high to take out the hot air and an osilating fan. passive intake with a piece of carbon filter cloth from menards. run the mh 18/6 for the first month or 2. then switch over to 12/12 with the hps and the mh 6/18 simultaneously to simulate noon.

sounds good just make sure you seal it off good!

me and my buddy built this grow shed in his backyard 6x6x6

sealed all walls with nice beads of sikaflex

lined them with mylar

and installed a solar powered ventalation fan on top

with a skylight for added lighting worked out pretty good

just make sure its sealed to be able to controll your enviornment the best you can

Snapped one after construction was finished, and one after we planted a few seeds. The cups you see under the light were 5 seeds planted stright into the dirt. Just some pretty good bag seed. The are trying to germinate 6 more seeds with the paper towel method. To be planter later.IMG_20120206_231905[1].jpgIMG_20120206_231806[1].jpg

Looks good man, know you said you were on a budget, would be good to know what kind so we can try to lead you in the right direction. Maybe save you from buying the wrong thing for the long run. What you do have should work out just fine for now. Think you will have some fun, and maybe get some good smoke out of the deal.

right now the budget is as low as we can get a way with and still grow some fire buds. We're going more for quality than quantity. We just want to grow some dank for personal usage and maybe a bit to pass on to good friends. I was thinking for the first run or two, we could get away with 3 of the lights that are shown in the pic. They are just 4ft shop lights with T12 bulbs, I believe. I do know htey are 40w and in the blue spectrum. 6500k maybe? I was looking online for some HPS light, but I really don't know what I'm looking at when it comes to those. I've always grown with floros. What do you guys recommend? Like how much wattage would I need for that size room?

I think you should ask your self how much you'd like to end up with, then go from there. Obviousy it needs to fit your budget as well.

Maybe just a 400 or 600?

I was thinking one 600w HPS, but I don't know how many plants that can support. We want to be able to flower 6 girls in there at a time, if that helps.

All of the seeds we were germinating in the paper towel hace popped open, and one was ready to plant. That brings the total up to five now. Hopefully we'll have 10 by the time it's over with. :)

I'll deff look into it man! I was talking to my partner ( partner in crime that is) about lighting, and he came up with about a $400 budget on lighting. I was looking around and we could get 2 400w HPS for that price. Would that work sufficiently?

Room looks good bro. My only recommendation would be to put the panda film on the outside of the 2X4s so that way when you get bigger ventilation they wont come off as easily.
