First things first,I am new to to rollitup, so hello all,

I am currently constructing a growroom for 1 DWC(Deep-Water Culture) plant and am looking for suggestions and advice on what I should do/change. Heres specs of Growroom;

2'2'' Length, 1'7'' Width, 4'6'' Height.

1 175 Watt MH bulb for veg, maybe flowering(Funds are low atm, and have a 1000 W Hps but would be too much for her)

Good Ventelation and Exhaust Fans.(No Co2)

5 Gallon Homemade DWC system.

Using Expanded Clay Pellets for Grow Medium; Oasis Cubes for starting.

Planing on using GH Nutes (GH Grow and GH Flores)


Any info on what i should change/ invest in would be much apreciated, as this is my 1st attempt at hydro(I am tryin something new as my soil grown ladies are nearing harvest )

What's up Zach!I'm new to rollup myself.I'm kinda glad that i stumbled onto your thread,since i too are planning to attempt a"DWC"set up in a small place as well3x3x6 closet.I have never attempted any type of hydro before,like you i have 7 beautiful ladies vegging in soil filled containers.Currently i have a 400watt mh, 5 t-5s(3blue,2red).
I know your looking for some hints,but i have two questions i would like to ask you???(Hope you dont mind)Exactly,what type of ventiliation & exhaust are you using in your small space. & how did you construct your DWC systems.Your imput would be greatly appreceaited.

ok here ya go, i will help to the best of my abilities....

DWC bucket design;

1)5 Gallon bucket(black or lightproof)
2)Air pump(Wal-Mart 5-15$)
3)Airstone(1-2$)(ALso need 1/4'' tubing, they sell at Wal-Mart 1-2$)
4)6'' net pots(a Gardening or Hydro store, 1-5$)
5)Silica rocks(i Recommend)(5-10$) or expanded clay pellets(7-30$)
6)Jiffy Peat Pellets(Wal-mart 2-4$)

Those r the baisics you will need, i suggest getting, Ec/Ph meters, water themometer, good nutes and u should be set =P

i use a water level indicator and drain/ fill valves to be easy on me =P

HAHA and for ventillation i would do some scavenging, i used 2 broken ps2's and took out the fans, conected together via wires, wired to a longer wire w/o a plug on the end, then i rigged to a 9volt battery charger(i tried wiring fans straight to plug but puts out too much amps)

yeah i hope u find this useful,and i will keep u updated on my grow progress and first hand advidvice.

oh yeah 3 weeks till i hrvest soil ladies =P

i must add the ventilation works great for my 175 watt MH dont know how itll cool a 400 watt but i think ull be gravy =)
