When I've run CO2 it's been in a room that lets no air out. Having said that, I guess it's worth noting that so long as you weren't letting air out while the CO2 was running, then no big deal. I'm sure your garden would love the fresh air. However, one of the main advantages to a sealed room is that no air leaves and therefore no smell leaves. If you can keep your lights-on temps around 85 and your CO2 around 1500, you're all good. If you're in a shed or something that gets hot during the day while your lights are off, then you would ideally use an AC but exhausting would do the trick too.
One of the best days of my life though was when I cut the duct lines in my air cooling intake and stopped running CO2. All just fresh air. I have to use several scrubbers to keep smell under control but not having to pick up new tanks every week is soooooooooo nice.
That was a long way of saying, "Yeah, you're all good."

ok all i wnna do is exhaust some a while the lights are off its still a sealed room cuz there is nuttin comeing in im not trying to argue im just trying to ask if i do exhaust the room while the lights are off would it be a problem i see no problem with it all my lights got there own inline pulling all the heat idk ill just give it a try it wouldnt hurt i dnt want anything building up in my roon mold bacteria and shit and for my health also its the only reason i wnna exhaust while lights are off thnx for the advice by the we all is appreciated brothers

koo thnx bro did takeing out the co2 affect yield and if u dnt mine me asking why did u take it out mayb its a good reason for me to take it out

Yeah that's completely true ,
he stated he was going to exhaust during lights off , i'm merely saying that if he does this(it does have advantages) he will also need to draw air in as nobody needs a positive vacum umbre.....

To be perfectly honest I just didn't like several things such as:
1. running AC
2. exchanging tanks every week
3. i was always worried i'd run out of CO2 and then, in a sealed room, my plants would be starved of air
Here is my first run since taking out CO2: Plush Berry Picture Thread

to me sealed room means just that SEALED...... that means no air exchange in and out....... If you run this set up you MUST have a dehumidifier for when the lights are off....... If not then make and exhaust hole for getting the humid air out during LIGHTS OFF...... Ive seem some do this with no intank hole and ive seeon some do it with intake holes..... If you do an intake hole you would want some sort of eletric baffle that you can put on your light timer so when lights come on and Co2 starts the baffle will close and the room will now become a "SEALED" room when lights shut off baffle will open and exhaust fan will switch on turning it into a "open loop" room..... me id just make it a sealed room and get a dehumidifyer and Ac........good luck

Don't you still need to 'dump' your air every hour during lights on?

Nope, not when you're running CO2. Like FootClan said though, you'll have to dehumidify or else you'll walk into a swamp.

why do YOU need to dump your air?? theres only 3 reasons to have an intake and out take.....
One and most important is you need to replenish your Co2 levels and with out suppmental Co2 your only way of doing that is to exchange the air.... Job two is to cool your room by bring in air that is of lower ambient temp then the air inside your room.... and its 3rd job is to removes built up humidity in the air.....So thats 3 jobs its doing, now that you know why your doing it, it will be easyer to understand a sealed room system.......
Now In sealed room you wont need to bring in more Co2 becaue you will be supplementing it with a Tank or a burner..... and in a sealed room you wont need to bring in cooler air because you will have an A/C to take care of that and lastly you wont need to extract humid air out because you will have a Dehumidifer..... thats 3 things needed in a open system and thats 3 things youve solved by switching to a closed loop...... So to answer you question NO you do not NEED to have an inlet and an outlet aslong as you set your "sealed" room up RIGHT!!
This means you WILL NEED a A/C with 4k BTU per 1000w light(depending on ambient temps outside or course), You will need a Co2 tank or Burner and you WILL need a dehumidifer....... those are 3 MUST haves for a proper sealed room....... not only do you need all those extra things you will also need an EXTRA allowaince or Amps for your A/c and Dehumidifyer....... so just know that a "sealed" room cost not only more in equipment but more in PG&e ......
A sealed room is better suited for the experianced grower with some cycles under his belt and a healthy surpluss of cash ....... hope this helps.....

My idea for changing out the room every hour was from the hydro store guy that sold me all the shit. lol. fuckers. You make more sense, it's easier and cheaper. Thank You.
