Hi everyone,

Plan number....twenty, it feels like. Tell me what you think.

400W light + complete organic grow kit from HTG (including bags, hangers, nutes & soil, etc.)- 275
20 x 36 x 64" grow tent- $150
GrowBright 6" Inline Fan & Goblin Charcoal Filter Combo- $215
EasyCool 6" air-cooled reflector- $115

Then a couple of oscilatting fans and a ph kit, and I think i'm good to go.

Am i missing something? Is ventilation adequate? Overkill? Is there a way to cool the light and vent the air at once, through the carbon filter? This is obviously what I'm counting on.

thanks a lot

Default actually
i'll probably buy the light by itself, which will also make the reflector much cheaper. i can always buy nutes/soil/etc. on their own, so the organic kit is out.

questions on tent/ventilation remain, though. any help will be much appreciated, of course

I'm afraid I'm not an exhaust expert, as I just live by the rule of constant airflow and natural exhaust, but I'd like to stand behind your decision to purchase nutes & soil and whatnot yourself. In marijuana, kits are usually more expensive than manual selection, and with the amount that you stated, you could save a lot on that.
Sorry I couldn't help with your hot points.

I personally think you could save a bit on the fan combo. I just picked up the Elf Combo (4") @ $149 from HTG and for my size room (5x5x it rocks. Just a thought.

Peace - OGH

Thanks for the replies guys

OGH (or anyone)-
I looked at the elf combo but was afraid of rising temps come June (when harvest would hopefully be ending)- how does the temp in your room compare to "real" room temp. w/ the fan you have?

Also, will my smaller space mean that the temps rise more than in a bigger, room setting? I just don't wanna put all this $ out and then find I can't get temps down enough to get a harvest.

Much appreciation.

Smaller space means temperatures fluxuate more. I once grew in a 6X2bathroom cabinet, and it was a brilliant atmosphere. You're on the good side of ventilation, don't worry. And for humidity, all you really have to do is use a spray bottle and spray it in the path of your fan. The moisture will flow along with the air much more efficiently than you'd expect.
