I always read that temps around 80 and higher with low humidity is bad since the plant restricts the stoma to save H2O... thus leading to a decline in CO2 which obviously will fuck your buds up.
I have around 40-50% in flowering and my buds are sexy. :O edit: I would be interested in some empirical evidence of low humidity improving resin production if anyone has it... links to a study perhaps. Typically plants will have waxy cuticles to survive in low humidity but from my understanding the role of cannabis resin is different from that. Especially since most transpiration takes place out of the fanleaves and not the buds and the amount of resin is minimal to non-existent on fanleaves as opposed to buds. Honestly though, cannabis has grown naturally for millenia in various climates.

So the strain would obviously have a lot to do with how humidity, whether high or low, would effect the buds.

right, low humid for flowering preferred and high humid (50-60%) for veg. too high (70%+) encourages mold. too low slows root developement

I purchased a small mist humidifier and have it in very close proximity to the grow set-up. The Humidity is now ~45-55%. I have not noticed a difference as of yet but, it has only been a little over a day since I started it up. Will post results.

Well I have to say this past week was definitely an eye-opener. With the Humidity ~45% during the day and 50% at night I have seen a jump in growth that leads me to believe the humidity plays a very large role. The plants have almost doubled in size. So thumbs up to the higher humidity.
