Default Help with Light Reflector? Help with Grow room?
Hey guys and gals,

This weekend I bought a cabinet from Lowes Stor-It-All 48" White Multi-Purpose Storage Cabinet 48" White Multi-Purpose Storage Cabinet and plan to use the top shelf and leave the top for the magnetic ballast, power strip, and the computer power source ( for the PC fans ). I plan to use the whole bottom as the growing room. I want to get a 400W HPS light with a CMH bulb. For the reflector I can't figure out which one to get. I'm stuck between choosing from the Super Sun 2 - 6 Inch Air Cooled Reflector Super Sun 2 - 6 Inch Air Cooled Reflector and the HTG reflector 400 watt HPS GROW LIGHT HORIZONTAL REFLECTOR HOOD 400w - eBay (item 180180080308 end time Feb-11-08 13:25:53 PST) ? Also if you have any hints to help me out with my grow room, would really appreciate it. thanks.

well the simple difference is one is air cooled and one is not. The Sun System also uses higher quality reflective material, but its going to cost you more. I would personally go with the air cooled one considering you are growing in a cabinet. Good choice on cabs by the way, i'm leaning towards the same one.

if the cabinet is only 4 feet high - you figure the soil pots (or hydro system) is going to take up some room (8-12" probably) and the light will take another 12" at least - you are now looking at only about 2 feet of vertical growth so you'll definitely need to air-cool that light and keep your grow short! tie them, prune them, SoG, LST, something...

I'm going to have 2 computer fans for exhaust @ 111 CFM and 2 computer fans for intake @ 111 CFM. I will also have a fan in the closet to help circulate the air more. So do I really need another exhaust fan for the closet when running a CMH bulb? I thought these bulbs run cool. I was hoping to get away withouth buying another exhaust fan, but if not oh well. I was looking at home depot's room duct fan for the light exhaust. help?
