Hey I will be building a grow cabin soon and I want it to be as stealth as possible so I dont want cords showing. I want to know has any body used a power inverter connected to a car or truck battery for a power source? I want to run my 400w mh if i can do so for 18 hours till recharge..... I will even consider a 250w mh or hps. But need you guys input

Just FYI car batteries are known to explode, and if you do choose to use a battery try to get a deep-cycle battery, because you'll be charging and discharging constantly.

It doesn't stand alone. A power inverter from a car needs to have the alternator turning to maintain power. Kinda takes away from stealth. CLoset growers should check out T-5 and led lighting, along with cfl's. There are less heat issues (Read stealth) to deal with. VV

A car battery with an invertor will run a 400 watt light for about 15 minutes max and it will more then likely damage your ballast.You dont have a single outlet anywhere to plug in 1 cord then run a multi port surge protector inside for the other plugs??I have priced turbins and solar panels but dont think thats what your wanting...FilthyFletch
