    Default Temp/Ventilation Problem

I have a stealth dresser growbox. I can't get my temps under control though. Currently I have the back door open to try and keep it down. So with airflow being irrelevent it seems my temps are still at 91. My ventilation system is one 4" fan for intake and one 4" fan for exhaust. I just went out and bought 3 120mm PC fans that I'm about to install right now, but I left the door open for the last few hours while I was gone with the lights on and everything running. I come back and it's still at 91. So that leads me to think that more airflow won't exactly fix the problem. Is there a way to lower the temps in the box without lowering the temps of the room it's in? The room temp is sitting at 88 and I can't do much about that other than add fans. I have a ceiling fan in the room and an 8" personal fan going 24/7. Think like big oscillating fans would lower the temp in the room enough to show something in the box?

I can't get the temps in the room down because of the shitty design of my small apartment. I have a hotel style AC unit on one end of the apt, and thats it. The room that my box is in is the far room away from that ac unit (about 30' from ac unit to opposite wall of the apartment where my box sits).

You can either buy a portable AC, a swamp cooler, or move

You can put all the fans in the world blowing on your grow box, but it will not go below the ambient temp of the room.

That's what I figured, but didn't want to admit it lol. What is a swamp cooler? And what about loading the ambient room with like 4 huge oscillating fans? Portable ACs are pricey.....

    google is your friend

It's about 100 bucks for a swamp cooler, and depending where you live can cool your room down 3-10 degrees.

Yeah sorry, swamp cooler just sounds like slang for something I could build lol. That's why I asked (kinda hoped)

OK so I did some research on them. Looks like it would be a great (although more expensive that what i was hoping for, but best option) solution. Problem is I live in florida, humidity is kinda monstrous. I also learned why I hadnt heard of them, I grew up in louisiana and moved to florida, places with high humidity and high humidity diminishes the efficiency of swamp coolers by quite a bit. However, what if I were to combine one of these with a dehumidifier in the ambient room? Would lower the humidity enough to make the swamp cooler efficient hopefully. That's the idea anyway.

Consider that the money spent on a swamp cooler and a dehumidifier might cost as much as a portable AC.

yeah never mind about the cooler than. I live in a low humidity area so thats why i suggested it. Really only thing you can do is get a portable ac, move, or hope for the best. low 90's you can still grow some good crop, but the buds might be not as dense.

That's what I'm wondering. I'm curious how well a mini dehumidifier would work. They have small units for as low as 25$. Which would bring my total for both the units new to about 100$. I saw some swamp coolers for around 75$. Again I'm not sure how well all these would work. It is a small room, at most 10x10 probably smaller, havent measured the square footage. I found portable AC units for around 200.
