this is the biggest box i can get away with i need advice on lights etc. i already have a fair few cfl's from a failed grow i had and im not too keen on using that type of lighting again. 300 euro/215 pounds/430 dollar budjet 50 euro mimimum of which is going to the shrooms (im just buying a grow kit). i nees advice on how many plants, what system i should use, how to keep it slealthy but well ventilated, which strains do well in this type of enviroment (if any). thanks for the help guys. dont be afraid to call me stupid for trying to use such a small box....

i've never grown mushrooms... but don't they like a humid environment? Are you growing everything in the same box?

A PHmeter would be essential... alongside an ec meter too. If you can only afford one go for ph.

mush don't grow in the conditions that marijuana likes.

ok i thought they just needed somewhere kinda warm but i dno anything about them thats just what the head shop people said, well any advice on the weed then thats a lot more important the shrooms are just an after thought. help me if you can!

I've been incubating shrooms above my veg chamber - it hovers right around the ideal temp of 83-86.

Then into a clear rubbermaid type tote box with a thick layer of saturated perlite at room temp.

yeah thats the grow kit for mushees they sell its like a clear sterilised plastic lunchbox with perlite and vermiculite. so any ideas about what lights i should use for the weed? how many plants? etc. please. thanks in advance

Take a look at my journal from my signature - In particular the veg Box I'm using. It's about the same size as what you are planning.

Up until about 3 months ago, I was using it for flowering. Originally it was fitted with a 70 W HPS and 4 23w CFLs. I later upgraded to a 150 HPS, but then heat became an issue, especially in summer.

I was getting great results growing 4 plants in there - each in 1.5 gallon pots.

that was my exact plan 150 watt hps and 4 23 watt cfl's and line the box with reflective sheeting and have one fan on the side and a bottle of yeast and sugar to make c02. ill check that out now cheers mate. i want to have to go near this box as little as possible so could i have a quiet pump going to the pots from a big tank that i could fill up as irregularly as possible?

how much would i get growing them to maximum height in my box? also how long should i veg for? and would you recommend 18-6 or 24-0? thanks for the help its really handy!

what medium you growing in? In a 1.5 gallon container you could quite happily veg'... probably as long as you like. it's the veg/container size/eventual bud potential ratios all over again. Check out my sig'.

I'd suggest that if you are from seed it would all depend on the height of your box. Which is probably disrespectful of me not to have checked before posting this thread. sorry.
