i was walking and found along the side of the road 3 1000 watts wraped in newspaper 2 of them are mh i know, the other has no lables or n e thing the inner strike tube is like a hps long skinny crack pipe lookin thing.. right. but the outer bulb is shaped like a mh? i put it in a socket with a 1000 hps ballest it lit fine it seemed bright and all but i wanna make sure. r they made with this outer bulb shape? i remember long ago someone saying yes but wanna make sure.

Upload them to a host like Photobucket = Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket, then copy the address marked with IMG tags and paste it here.

maybe a conversion bulb? Although most conversion mh bulbs look like normal MH not MH glass with an HPS strike tube. I only have 600watt to campare to though

That's definately an HPS bulb, I have a smaller 150w HPS bulb just like that.
