The one million dollar question. Do I get a 1000W dual core hybrid bulb (has hps and mh inside) for my 10x12 shed or do I just get a name brand 1000w hps bulb.

If your plants are in flower, is it necessary to keep feeding the blue spectrum? Or do you want to throw nothing but red/orange spectrum at them during flowering? Please help me with the pros and cons here.

I want to buy THE BEST bulb and money is not a problem. Thanks guys/girls.

I strongly believe blue/white light is still beneficial during flowering. Put it this way ... between 9am and 3 am the winter sun would still be white/blue rather than red/orange. Sure its hanging lower in the sky so reds will be inhanced at dawn and dusk ... but to mimic the sun having a full spectrum with both blue and red has to be the way to go.

i think the setupi you are talking about has a 600w hps and a 400w MH. thast pretty good in my opinion. has a very good spectrum of lighting. id get one of those cool light movers to move your lamp across your grow room so you can get a better spread of light. are you using one area only, as in no separate room for veg/flower? if you have one room id just two 600w switchables with light movers. M is good cuz of the spectrum but for flowering HPS is more important. MH(blue) is best for veg. but you would get sick yields either way.
