    Default Where to find pre filters locally ?

    Where would I find the blue pre filters I see on some carbon scrubbers ? I'd like to be able to go to a store tomorrow & get that material. If there is another material other than the blue pre filters please enlighten me. If it matters I would prefer something thin that works effectively. I have a carbon scrubber with an axial fan so I'm not sure how much pull it's going to have if there is a thick pre filter on it. Thank you

    One last thing, is the pre filter necessary for odor control or is it more to keep out large particles ?

    Its more for keeping out large particles. You don't absolutely need one unless you are using it to secure the carbon somehow. It wouldn't have to be any special material as long as it kept out large particles without restricting airflow significantly.

    Excellent!! Thank you for clearing that up for me. I'm not concerned for anything large, my concern is strictly odor so maybe I should be able to get away with just pantyhouse over the carbon scrubber. Correct ? If it matters, the carbon scrubber is free standing in the room outside of my grow cabinet.

    Sounds like it could work to me. Really anything to keep the carbon contained will work. Pantyhose tears pretty easily, so if you use that, I'd use a few layers.

    Are talking about adding more carbon to be inbetween the pantyhose & carbon scrubber ? The carbon scrubber already has carbon in it. You probably already know that. I'm just stoned lol. So what you're saying is have 2 lines of defense with carbon ?

    Yes pantyhose tears easy. I've had my fair share of ripping in to pantyhose

    I'm gonna do that tomorrow & pay petsmart a visit. If I don't like how it looks with the pantyhose I'll just head over to fredricks of hollywood & pick out some raunchy patterned pantyhose to be the top layer of the regular with the fish carbon in it.
