Planning out a scrog set up. I am planning on buying a 250W HPS with an attached ballast to the light fixture. I was planning on using a MH conversion bulb to build up a good mother plant for clones and i was wondering if you guys think a MH conversion bulb would work with a 250W HPS light system, such as the EconoGro Mini w/ ballast attached?

The light system is wired at 120V. Can i plug this into a 110 outlet? (pardon me if this is a really stupid question)

I havent decided on whether to grow using soil or hydro setup. Any suggestions? Does growing in soil take longer? If so, how much longer?

Is using a 250W HPS light ONLY okay for a scrog setup (3 to 4 plants)? What about veg stage...i read there really isnt a veg stage in scrog setup but what light should i use from the start to get my plants tall enough to reach the screen?

Also if anyone has pics of a good hydro system to use in scrog (easy to chg nutes, etc.) id really appreciate it.

So what do you guys think?

You must have a small area if you are using a 250w... otherwise I wouldnt waste my time and/or money. Don't bother with a conversion bulb, everybody I know who used them said there was little to no difference.

I don't know about voltage, but Im gonna go with "no."

Soil vs Hydro? Im a hydro kid, thus I think it is faster and less of a mess. But it is more expensive.

You're going to have to veg you mother, unless you get some clones from some hapless grower. Also, I veg my clones for a little bit first because I find when I go straight into 12/12 they begin to be pulled down by their massive buds.
