I have a 4'x4'x8' cabinet setup. I'm veging moms right now. I have 16 sq feet to grow a SOG. How many clones can I fit into that space with a continual harvest every two weeks? I'm using a DWC setup for some Bubble/NL/Ice/WW. I was thinking of keeping 8 moms and clone from two of the same at one time, so every two weeks a different strain can be harvested. SO 4 CLONES /SQ FOOT? I plan on veging for two weeks.

That's a lot of space... and you don't need to veg' for 2 weeks. 7 days should be enough.

Also, you're doing DWC sog... this is going to be a hard cookie to crack if you have little experience in growing. It does work... you're just going to have to allow more room for root development to prevent one plant from suffocating another.

I've never done a DWC sog grow before, at least not on this sort of scale... and I doubt there'd be many on here that have done it.

So unless someone else more knowledgeable on this can come in and help you, you're just going to have to use your own judgement as to how many plants you put in.

As it is a SOG, and if I were you doing what you're doing... I reckon I'd allow 5-6litres per plant. As it is a sog, you also don't want your containers to be too deep... 10" high should be enough. That's my judgement...

I'm totally confused by your post. This 4x4x8 area is only for clones and mothers? You said you have 16 sq.ft. to grow a sog and you are going to attempt to do that using the two week rotation. So you have two rooms? VV

If you had four flowering lights in one room, it might be possible to achieve a harvest every 2 weeks (eventually). Even 3 lights might cut it, with decent light-hoods etc... I use two flowering lights and harvest every 4-5 weeks on average

Although, now that you mention it VV... the post is a little confusing. I'm assuming he has a separate veg' and flower area. Even with one light, he could still boost his harvests up using sog methods... but still, it all sounds a little too much.

I feel that really you need to have some idea of what you're doing to attempt something like this... else be prepared to fail.

ha ha i get a harvest of 2 plants every 10 days with a 400 watt.

the key to sog is not your lights but that your harvest time is directly going to be deffered by these things
1.how often you add plants. this should be @ the same rate you are harvesting plants.
2.strains time to finish. needs to be reasonably achievable.
3.plants can be moved under 1 light in stages down a assemblly line type deal on a prepetual harvest grow.
you dont need seperate tables and lights.

The most I've done is 14 plants in traditional grow in a 3'x4' area, DWC 2-35gal tubs with bag seed. Now I have NL, Bubble, WW, flowering in an upper veg (2'x4'x3') and lower flower (4'x'4'x5') areas. The room is seperated with black plastic, no light leaks. On the floor I can place the 2-35gal or better 4-16 gal tubs, each tub for every two weeks. I could get 25 2" pots on one 16gal tub but that doesn't leave too much room to grow, or should I care since I only want a single cola? Or would 6 or 12 be better per tub?

What was your yield per plant on your last DWC sog grow? Did you give 14 days veg'?

I grew 3 plants once, in dwc with no veg time... just clone, straight to flower. One of the plants didn't take off too well, maybe giving me around 2g dry weight. The other 2 though, did really well and netted me 3 q's between the 2 plants.

Also, with 2 weeks veg' in a DWC, these are going to turn into pretty big plants. A 2 week old clone in DWC could easily reach a height of 18" to 2ft in height.

Since it was my first time I veged from seed for 2 mos. By the time they were near complete I had to do some LST due to height (around 4'1/2-5') with LST I got them down to 4' Yeld was ok due to some heat issues, growing in SoCal in summer and the light was not able to reach the bottom 12"-18" with 400w HPS

Which is the reason you want to grow sog now...

I'd advise a 7 day veg'... this should be enopugh to get you a half oz per plant. Personally I'd allow each plant 5 litres of root space...

Try something different. I really hate to wait 2-3mos untill harvest.

At 5lts/plant for 16gal tub around 6 plants/tub?
