    oops i thought he was on about halogen looks like i had my wires crossed lol, talking of wires i must sort this cfl wireing out

    When you change lamps from MH to HPS or swap 2700K cfls for 5600K that's what you're doing. Adding more red or blue light to the mix depending on what you need more of. So adding another light for more red is what you want to do don't bother swapping one out.

    NO

    No halogens...they are no good for growing period

    5cfls work perfect also with the heat aswell because it stays at 27 celsius and no more than that but being as i put a oil filled radiator in my growroom for the night last night i set it to level one thinking it wil stay warm.....nope...... it went red hot for 3 hours and ended up shrivveling and killing 2 plants lol glad i just about saved 10 that are left
