Wow Nag you are really putting a lot of effort and money in to this opp. I am sorry to hear you lady took control of the original room. I have been looking at this K74 and it would appear to me that it might be a better investment to get the K108. This thing will alow you to controll the temp and humidity in the room or any other thing you might want. Say you are running hydro and you want you res to maintain a certain level. I would think you hook this up to a float in your res and when the water reaches a certain level the realy swithces on a pump to fill up your res. I like this whole computer controlled timming. The price is deffinately worth it. Great find!!

Greets,

The relay output terminals (the little green blocks above the blue relays) can be wired into an AC junction with both an on and off state. So lets say we look at the first relay:

relay one will control my grow lights and my room exhaust fans. When the relay is in the off state my exhaust fans will run and the lights will be turned off. When the relay is in the on state the lights will run but the room will not exhaust.

Now relay two (timed with relay one):

relay two will control my co2 sequencer/monitor and oscillating room fans. When relay 2 is in the on state the co2 sequencer will monitor and inject co2 (only while lights are running) up to my pre determined ppm setting as well as run the oscillating fans while the lights are running. Off state will control nothing.

relay three and so on will control other various option like pumps scrubbers etc... I will sit down and draw out a rough diagram of the control options I have been thinking about.

Greets,

Thanx for the reply KushMaster85. I don't mind the effort at all, I'm old school when it comes to this "Better to do things right the first time". The amount of money isn't as bad as I'd originally thought it was going to be (all said and done it looks like I will be putting this whole thing together for around $1000.00usd). I have been pretty lucky finding things at flea markets and ebay. This has kept my cost down incredibly low. The largest purchase was the lighting and that has been kept down to under 500.00usd. When I start my grow journal I will post a list of the equipment that I have manged to get and the costs.
The only problem that I cant correctly address until the room is put together is how much heat and humidity will be generated in conjunction with ambient area temps and humidity in the basement (this being Michigan and winter rolling in).
All in all this is shaping up to be something that I'm liking. The people on this site have been more than helpful with opinions and pointing out other options that I haven't looked into or even considered. I'm sure that my end project will be vastly different from my original idea as more options and suggestions come in.

Nag.

Basement humidity is the result of two things, high water table and a failed foundation drain system. Common problem in our state. VV

u did good man. each one of my lights cost 500 each. i suggest lots of insulation to keep the area warm. portable heaters could also help in the event of cooler than wanted temps. my main motto is you go cheap u grow cheap. with anything if you get the better thing the first time around u dont have to replace it, paying more money in the end.

Heaters, proper ventilation, and dehumidifiers will solve some problems
