Here's my question. How much space can I cover with 1,000HPS x2 on a mover with both lights in cooltubes. Dedicated exhaust on the tubes.

Looking at 12 feet? What are some problems I'm going to run into with using a mover? What kind of yield am I looking at with 2k watts on a 12 foot track?

I think 12 feet is way to far. I would do 2 6 foot movers. You won't have any light concentration if you do 12 feet. Mover move very slow. I think It may take an 1/2- hour to go 12 feet 2 6 foot movers paralell to eachother. Off set the movement of the lights so when there is one at the end, the other is at the opposite end.
You could easily cover a 6X10 area with stationary 1000ws in hoods. I ditched my mover. Airy buds(lack of light concentration) and had problems air cooling it..

I'm actually planning on mounting the hoods on the same rail. Cooling won't be an issue, dedicating a 6' 424CFM inline to the two hoods. Given they're in tubes and the light dispersal won't be as great, I was planning on a 12 foot width for this run.

so 2,000 watts on a mover 12x9? I'm assuming I'm going to have 6" of lighting on each end of the run so guessing 10 feet for a 9 foot track. What you guys/gals think?

Another question I just thought of - will it be any benefit to get 6" cooltubes rather than 8" cooltubes? Thanks again.

Im about to try two 1k, 6" cool tubes on a 6' light rail. Looking to cover a eroflo2 and extension. any input would be good.

I've received feedback a few times now that the BEST I can do is a gram per watt and movers aren't really going to help me. A parabolic reflector has been recommended, however I can't see a good way to aircool one of those and its going to burn the plants if it gets anywhere close.

A 1000 watt fixture will supply enough light to cover a 6.5 foot by 6.5 foot grow area. (a max of 30 plants or less)
So double that would be my estimate.
