do you have a septic or public sewer? if you have a septic and you push to much air (cfm) down the drain you will fill you septic tank with air. the only exit for that air is through porous dirt in your septic field, up the vent on roof or out the drains in your house. the only reason no body's house smells like a septic tank is because the water in the bowl acts like a cork . when you pressurize the drain you could push the water out of drain lines removing the cork and allowing odors up and out the drains in the house. so start off with small fan. find the vent. if you have public sewers and you fuck up the balance of things you could potentially attract city maintenance. lol you could blow up everyone's toilet if you have a big enough fan. you will make news, local man vents his garden into toilet. when neighbors complained their toilets did not flush properly city workers found a strong smell of pot in the sewer. i worry about the smell in my garden as well. i made my room air tight and converted a single hose ac to duel hose to cool room.

LOL
i dont think you could pressurise a public sewer as there needs to be plenty of vents to prevent the build up of gas
sewerage would instantly over power the smell of ganja

i cant see a problem i thought of this idea myself a while ago but my pipe is to far from the grow, even with a big fan by the time the air got to the vent there wouldnt be alot of air flow if its a longish run another good thing is the air that your pushing will also be pulling sewer gases as well
vents tend to be in places where you wouldnt smell the gases who wants to smell sewer gas
go for it

the traps in your piping that are there to keep methane from coming up the sewer into your house work the same way backwards, even if you can get by those it still may not be a good idea, you cant feed air pressure into a drain, if your house is near others ect.. the smell might get out, not ever house has PROPER vents, your vent may be in the atic and moisture up there is never a good thing. take it from a plumber.. its to much of a headach and to many potential problems. a filter can be bought for under 100 bucks.
that and since its in your basement if you ever get a plug youll have nice fresh water with brown hunks in it coming out your fan.. na such a good thing imo.
good luck!!!

For a start off sewer gases are never vented into a loft space, for the same reason they vent them out of the sewer,
methane gas explosion's
he has already stated the toilet can be removed so acsess is not a problem
as said before sewer gases are never vented where there easily smealt

Look on the roof of your house for a vent tube, locate where it comes through inside. and tap into it as close as you can where it goes through the roof if you can. It will work and won't blow out anyones toilet....
