I am in the process of building a dresser grow for my first grow. When gutted out the actual grow space is 30"x 16"x 36". I was planning on growing 6 plants but now I'm thinking only 4 would really fit.

I need some help chosing the best watt HPS for this size grow. Some say 150w, & some 250w. Someone please make up my mind.

I'll be honest, I've been doing months and months of researching but I'm having trouble figuring out how much ventilation I'll need for this size area. From what I pulled up so far, I planned on installing 4x 120mm pc fans. & Putting in a DIY carbon air filter. Anything else I should add?

man shits gonna be sweet if your only doin pc fans cfl may be the way to go mh/hps give off much heat unless you have great ventilation. i would do 250 cooltube with 4 to 6 inch inline to pull air. 4 plants your askin for trouble try 2 or 3 and you could get more bud cause they will need pleny of light!

a agree, go with two plants, it will give em more light and the buds will thus be less airy, just make sure u keep the temps down, heat stress stumps growth like crazy. get an out take fan to get all the hot air and an intake for lots of fresh air .happy growing

Is there any way I could use this 400w kit and just switch the 400w hps bulb for a 250w? Or will that mess things all up? I can't find the kit in 250w and I think it's a pretty good price for all that. Heres the link for the kit.

& I'm going to take your advice with the 2-3 plants at a time. I'll just make another dresser or cabinet.

yea that would be great and thats def a great price man, i may have to get one lol. but just use the 400 just make sure you have enough air movement to keep the heat down.

In that amount of space, using a 250w HPS, about how many feet of air should his fan pull through his cooltube? Is there a calculator somewhere out here to use?
