Default Problem: Ventilation and Fans
Okay i have everything planned out, but the only problem i have hit is fans, i talk about ventilation after i get all my shit together.

Anyway fans are the problem,
i need a fan or fans too cool and refresh my grow room.

But alot of fans are expensive and don't want to
dish out much, because it will take too long
to save up money for, i'm already saving up $400
for my light setup.

I need fans that can cool
a

7ft (height) x 5ft (length) x 2ft (width) closet.

But no more than $200
and is very effective to do what i want it to do.

This is the only problem im facing here.

Any suggestion are welcome.

Thx

You know what you can do... You can cut a hole on the floor of your closet and put a reugalr fam i the hole... and turn it on.. HAVE it blowing into the room.. BLOWING fresh cool ari up through your plants up towards your light...

You can put a HARD MESS WIRE cove over the fan , so that you can actually set the plants on the HARD wire grill... the fan may cost you.. 5-20 dollars.. YOu could get some SPRAY foam to hold the fan in place..

spray foam IS ganrley strong!!

cheers

duct fans are about $40.00 each and move 500 cfm easy if your not pulling it too far.
I use several od these. but for the $$$ your talking you can cet a "VORTEX" duct blower (but use it to pull) which is very quiet and long lived 10 yrs. I think.
blowing heat will leak out but sucking (pulling) will not leak and is more efficent.

Do you mean one of those sun-court fans?

I mean yeah i'll use them, but i thought they were junk.

Not pulling far eh, do you know how far?

Maybe i outta buy 4 to put 2 in each side of duct
(this is possible correct?) for it to be more effective.

Use 2 to bring heat out and 2 to cool it down.

Anybody know of axial fans?

I heard you can put these directly into the colling flanges of
the reflector.

If you're in the states, try the attic ventilating fans from lowes...there about 12 " in dia and come with a humistat/thermostat control all for around 30 bucks!

What ever you do DONT buy the inlines at HD or Lowes. I can not find the thread where I commented on my experiences but I did find this one I added about someones grow. Take my comments lightly I am still new.
Ventilation questions

Its hard to explain but in a small space you will know the moment the ventilation is perfect. You can hear the fans all working as one, sounds crazy huh Im high. For example if you slowed down your exhaust fan you would also hear the intake air or fan slow down on the other end of the room.

I have one of those SunCourt 8" fans ducted out of a roof hat 15' from where the room is. By using the 8" you have four times the capacity of a 4" vent. VV

I'm just gonna go with 2 6" vortex fans, one for intake and exhaust.
Well it's gonna take longer before i grow now.

I'll also go with a carbon filter, due to that many emphasize it.

Another thing is there anyway i could make rooms "airtight"
?

So no odor leaks out an such, i need to buy better doors
i know this but i might aswell take as many precautions as i can eh?
