So here is a pic er two of the spare room i want to use. It has limited ventilation potential (at best I can vent to another room) I obtained a 1000 watt light and it seems to put out alot of heat :P


I have a budget of 8-900 bucks to work with to maximize the use of this space. It's got about 3.5' X 4' of usable floor space. Or I could raise the floor above the toillete to create more floor space.

Ideally I'd like a 400 or 600 watt system on a hydroponic fed system. that would allow me to hopefully do a SOG method, or standard grow, with a Veg light for mothers/clones.

If this was your space, what would you do? Feel free to ask questions ;P Thanks for the ideas! I have some quality genetics germinated and I'm seriouse about getting something setup soon :P

my local hydro shop has alot of used aeroponics systems on the cheep , used ofcourse. check out craigslist also if you want aeroponics. i would suggest doing a bubbleponics system thought. each tub should cost you around 30-50$ to make and there supper efficient. so then you would have your light and your hydro. as for veg i would look on craigslist or ebay for a 'high bay' Metal Halide set up. these arwe the lights they use in gyms on on highways or whatever they need bright light for. they should be no more then 50$ for a 400w. the whole reason im suggesting cheep is because you live in the south so alot of your money should go to cooling and venting. i dont know if you keep your ac running or how you run your house but if you dont have your room at decent temps all the time then i would invest in a window ac unit.then i would probably make a carbon scrubber (thats also going to need a fan for it). idk man just be resorcesfull. my local hydro shop has great deals on used stuff , just recently they got 8 8" 400cfm can fans in they are selling for 130$. hope that helps.

I'm about to start my first grow that I had limited money for too. I got my lights here www.htgsupply.com Great prices, I got three 400w set ups on the way, 2 HPS for flower & an MH for veg.

I have about the same space as you. I doubt if I'll be able to put the veg station in the close with the flower station because of space & heat, but of course I'm going to try because you never know.

I'm planning on upgrading the lights as I go along since I'm sure these can't be top of the line, but I hope they help get ya started.

It's a bathroom there has to already be a 4" vent line in the ceiling. Take out the fan overhead and tap a squirrel cage or can fan into it.

I'd really start with a sledgehammer though. Rip the shower and vanity and toilet out, cram 2kw in there with cooltubes and you'll be set. Veg inside the vanity cabinet, may sound crazy but it's enough space.

Since you probably can't tear it all out at least take the toilet out it's easy to put back in later and will give you more room. If the vanity wasn't so built in...

Hey guys, thanks for the reply's! I cant do any major renovations on the space, as it's a rental space. That being said, the Bath room vent's - Vent to the FRONT DOOR .... I have no idea why the decided to this! I'm concerned about venting through it because of the odor. I cant afford to have my neighbors smelling my grow!! I'm going to ahve to have some major odor control for this op.

about the toilette, I've thought about building a table to cover the toilette to increase my floor space and give me storage for the hydro tanks. any thoughts?
