Default bubbles in my ebb & flow? Will this help at all? Pics of bubbles and my plants.

What up RUI? Here is what I got going on. I have a 4 prong air pump. I use 3 of them to air ropes. It's 2 foot tube that lets air out all the way down it and the end capped. they line the gaps in the top of my ebb & flow system and one of them is curled up in the resevoir. They are on a timer that runs 15 minutes before my system floods and 15 minutes after, while it drains. It seems like it has made a good difference. Does this make sense? I came up with this on my own, but I'm sure not the first one to do this. Anyone else do this? Thanks.......+Rep

air stones in the res will add more dissolved oxygen. More Dissolved oxygen the better.

Couldn't hurt to have bubbles in the top. Better to have constant bubbles going in the bottom res though.

water can only hold so much DO depending on the temp, if you want to add bubbles then I would keep it on a little before and during the flood. You'd be wasting power to have it on 24/7
