Question Ventilation - recommendations please
I have two rooms in a basement side by side. Each room is 147 cubic feet. Due to limitations I have to use 2 inch pvc pipe for my ventilation duct. The piping will be about 12 feet long and vent directly outdoors.

Is it possible to ventilate both of these rooms using one 2inch pvc pipe?

Is it possible to vent both rooms using one fan through a 2inch pipe?

I don't know too much from experience or whatnot, but just from my basic physics class you are going to have to really crank up the power of your fan to move the same amount of air through a 2" duct as you would a 4". The smallest fans I've seen are 4" so you may need some kind of 4" to 2" pvc attachment if you are going that route. If you do that expect to hear a lot more noise coming from your fan. Sorry I couldn't be of more help! I'm sure someone with more knowhow will post some info soon.

Oh wow, only 2 inch pipe? Thats gunna be tough, but it also depends on alot of factors. Are you depending on the ventilation to cool/heat your grow room? Or is it solely for fresh air purposes? Also, is the room well insulated? Or will the cold winter months be a factor??

The rooms are well insulated from outside as they are centered in a heated basement. The ducts main purpose would be circulating fresh air through the rooms. The duct would hopefully be used for cooling as well but I haven't selected lighting yet.
