I've been researching for months, and this is what I came up with. It is an aero-hydro setup, and it is by no means ready, when it is I will do a journal but this wont be it. This is going to be my first grow but with the amount of knowledge I've absorbed from RIU and various other forums I'm not the least bit worried. The bulbs I have is a 1000w HiLUX GRO MH for veg and a 1000w Super HPS for flower. My local hydro guy said the HiLUX is the one he'd use so I am taking his word for it. It is a conversion bulb and i thought i read those waste power or something, but he said it isn't an issue and I trust what he says so I'm rollin with it.

I will be going from cutting to harvest in this setup growing 6 plants. I will be doing SCROG and will "try" to do a 4x4 area. I have a couple seeds in a paper towel now and if at least one of em turns out to be female it will decide how fast I finish the setup. I placed an order from Joey Weed for White Russian and Cinderella 99 so if this bagseed doesn't turn out to have a female it will just delay the grow a bit.

My hood is a Magnum XXXL-8, for any of you wondering how big it really is... this will give you an idea.. it's pretty massive.















I know it isn't complete, I have the mylar already and I'm going to go to the local chick shop here to get some fabric and try my best at sewing.. I'm going to try to build my own tent but no promises on that. That is one area I'm "not" comfortable being a first timer but I'll give it a go.

I'll make sure you all know when I'm doing a journal, I think it will be by the time these seeds are ready to take cuttings. I'm so anxious.. I still need to get meters for testing ph/ppm but other than that i think im good to go. My fan for the room is some hydrofarm fan, don't remember the model, and the one for cooling the hood is a S&P TD-150 6" but that may be replacing the hydrofarm fan cause I don't like how loud it is and I will probably upgrade to the TD-200 8" fan for the hood(yes I know it's overkill but I don't mind).

this all started out with me wanting to grow a single plant with a single fluorescent (clueless) and with a lil research and $1,000 later... I'm finally ready to give it a shot
