I did do alot of research on the prices so they should be somewhat accurate. Hopefully this helps you out a little bit. And remember this setup is, what i believe, the best setup for my grow space, living area, funds, etc. etc. Yours might be different.

I have already decided to go with Nirvana's Wonder Woman instead of G-13 Kush's. But that's about it. Let me know what you think.

This looks like a good list of shit - with pretty accurate pricing... the only thing i see thats maybe a little low is the inline fans/carbon filter...

basically your setup needs 3 6" inline fans and a carbon filter...

not sure what kind of fans filters you priced out... but the carbon filters i use are the can 33 or 66 i think... they have 30+ lbs of carbon in them... i can get them for around $200 each. the fans though are a pain in the ass.. i just bought 2 6" fans in the last couple months... 1 was the Eco Plus (vortex style inline) - it was in the $150 range... and the other one i got was an S&P inline... which i think works pretty well... i wouldnt hook that one up to a carbon filter though... but it was also in the $150 range... better 6" fans are between $200 and $250 though...

im thinking you may have priced out the 6" inline duct "booster" fan... which doesn't work by itself at all... i think those may be $30 at casa de POT... but they wont pull through a carbon filter for shit, and if you put them in a duct by themselves, they will only move 10-20CFM... they suck (when they should blow!)...

also- the the OP... you got the ballasts already? you say you only want to spend a grand on the setup, and out of the box you drop 40% on light bulbs... but the REAL cost of a good HID setup includes ducting and a fan... because you cant run them alone. also, if you are on a budget, scrap the MH and HPS bulbs... just get the hortilux eye and use that through-out... you will need the $200 from those MH bulbs for when your plants get hungry.

keep on keepin' on.

I have three of the Valueline 6" inlines (425CFM) and they all work great.

They're like $70 or $80 a piece from businesslights.com.

yeah -those would work... thats basically what the cheap one i got was... but it was a little more than that...

i got them at my local hydro shop - kinda need it quickly.

either way, 3 fans and a filter for $310 is a little low for budget...

im growing in a apartment for now till i get back into my house and if you got it set up right you shouldnt have a problem ,, im runnin 2 400w and 1 400 in veg room ,, i cant smell nothing coming out of the carbin filter and even use it to heat the apartment .. if the power company calls just say u got electric heaters hooked up !! its completly air tight ,, if your exhaust fan is turned up to high you will smell it , the particles are being sucked though to quick !! + you will lose your humidity .. I buy all my gear new and for this closet grow i spent 1400 to 1500 ,,, if you want to do it cheap find lighting from warehouses for like 40 bucks and ill show you how to wire it to run at 120v and to remove the socket from the ballest

Shit i would just high ball it, because i know almost everyone has gone over there budget!!!!!!!

I Built my flower room before i found this site, so once i found it things changed around in there(for the better) makes it easy on me now no more stressing.

Then i built my veg room just more money bla hahaha but i have a veg room wooo hooo

Seeing others and talking to theres then getting new ideas on new lines of nutes blablablablablablabla theres always going to be somthing new you might want to try so its always going to be adding up every month/year with more money into the op.

But to just get started i would just go with the minimum 3 grand but wait lmao how big is your room i would say around 3grand for 2x2 or 4x4 ......... if you go up to a 6x6 and up you can easily go up to 5 grand and on $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ its all about the money to start up but in the long run shit the money your saving is going to be worth it!!!!!!!

Take some rips sit back and think how much money do you have to spend to get medicated and then how much will it to be, to start this grow op and keep it going. You will be saving money with in three years, if not faster.

LOVE THE MORNING RIPS LMAO

well, now hearing all this im considering dropping around 3G's into this and hoping the grow room will pay for itself within the first or second harvest. Im only going to take about a half O to an O for personal. im not as heavy of a smoker as i used to be, just with this shitty economy moneys got to be made

I budgeted about $2,500 and am well over $6K right now, and I haven't even started flowering yet.

Trust me, the unforeseen stuff and all the "little" stuff (trips to Home Depot and Walmart) really, really add up.

I'd recommend at least 1/3 of your budget be for unexpected expenses, i.e., if you're budgeting for $3K, you need to throw in at least an additional $1K for the unknown.
