I am thinking about trying a grow sometime in the next few months. Ive been doing tons of research, and stumbled across this on the web:

I was thinking of trying this on my own by getting PURple tubes (for veg only, will get red tubes for flowering) and surrounding them with a slightly wider tube of plexi-glass or clear plastic (to keep the plants from burning) then attaching a small fan to the end to wisk away excess heat.

my basic question is....What will happen if the lights are actually placed WITHIN the bush of the plant as it grows?

I fear that the plants will just wrap themselves around the light and "strangle" their potential for bud, instead of growing normally... or will they just grow up and around the lights without coming in to contact with them??

These "light sabres" seem to be unavailable, as I cant find them anywhere. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Good ? I would hink they would just wilt rather than attaching itself to the bulb. I am useing tubes now, plants are about 1-2inches away from tube and are healthy fat short plants. Just what I wanted. Keep them close but not touching and it will grow with tubes.
