Ok, so a brief background on the room itself: 2x6x8 closet, with a shelf in the middle separating it (in the picture it's almost centered, i'll probably move it up another foot or so so give the flowering room (bottom) more room). I'm gonna have 2 fans in the shelf itself, with covers and filters to prevent light leaks. One is going to be intake and the other exhaust so the air can be shared between the 2 halves...i'm gonna have a main intake into the room split with a Y adapter so my 1000hps can also be cooled. To finish the air flow on the light, i'll have ducting going through the shelf up into the attic with another Y at the end for a main exhaust.

What i'm trying to find out, is if this will work...this isn't my first grow, but i've never had proper ventilation in my past grows.

Here are a couple photos of the room itself. It's kind of a mess right now, but that's it....I'll be patching all the holes and repainting before I start the grow. i'll be adding locks and weather stripping to the door.

I'm thinking a smaller bubbleponics SOG since height is sort of an issue. i'll probably have between 6-12 plants flowering at a time, with a couple mothers and multiple clones in the space above.

I'd love some feedback!! Maybe you've got different ideas? I haven't purchased that much equipment yet. the light is from a past grow, I still need more fans, another squirrel fan, and pretty much the entire grow setup. I would really like some suggestions on ventilation, or if you think im on the right track (be honest ;-P) let me know!

I had my setup in a closet simliar in size to that and had alot of trouble keeping it cool, what type of lighting will you be using? so i can suggest some ventilation tips

air cool your light.
co2 enrich your room.
use a fan for circulation.

no ventilation needed.

I'll be using a 1000w HPS for the flowering room, and just CFL's for the mothers/vegging. I'll be adding an additional fan in each half for more circulation, cooling, and to add strength to plants

Edit: the 1000w HPS has an external ballast that will be in a separate room

Well, i'd rather it be done right than just enough - if ventilation isn't necessary, should I remove the Y at the intake/exhaust and call it a day?

Well, I could remove the Y's and add a 2nd intake and exhaust? the idea behind the Y's was so I didn't have to buy 2 additional fans. Will adding the Y's be enough? Or maybe i'm just thinking about this all wrong? I'd really like some insight. Thanks guys
