Hey Guys I have a question... I have a buddy who has a medical marijuana card and is going choose me to be his legal grower... he is going to grow 30 plants and hes wondering if 4 1000 watt Hps light kits hanging from the top will be too much or too little???

your going about it a tricky way... why not first work out how big of a space your planning on growing in... then calculate how many lumens will be needed for that sized grow space whichj in turn will tell you how many lights you need for even light distribution. now you know how many lights for that area,.. all you need to work out is how many plants you can get in to that space comfortably

30 plants and 4k worth of light. Your sights seem a little high for a single person medical grow. You sure about local medical laws? Most of them have a plant limit or space limit on to how much you can legally grow with a card.

Besides that...I dont wana discuss this topic to far its not for me. He asked me to post on the forum and ask this question... So yea. Is it too much light or not enough for that number of plants?

in my opnion a little much but it depends on what your working with

my friend, lol. yah that would be plenty, 2 1000w HPS with good fectors will do for 30 4 foot tall plants most likely.. i wish i had space for that. your friend is luck

no state allows that many plants for one medical user unless otherwise specified be careful what you get you and your friend into...
