What I think is don't spend money you don't need to. You can expand to 8" ducting if the 6" isn't cutting it, and thats a nice option to have. All you can do is test it out and see if the 6" is sufficient, if it isn't, all you have to do is spend around 30$ for some 8" ducting, but don't do something that isn't necessary.
The only downside I see to your setup is the possible air leaks and friction caused by the extra seams from using the reducers, but I don't think it will cause any significant problem.

Hey man I got a few questions about getting my card in oregon. Im wondering, so you went to a docter in town, like a walk in medical clinic place? and you went for what diagnosis? then you got the records from that doctor sent to mamas? just those 2 visits...and mamas set you up with there doc and got you your card?

I think you should move down to 2 1000watts and a light mover. You'll cover the same area, with 1/3 less heat and expense. Either that, or grow more than 6 plants.

I'll be at my room tonight, I will tell you what average temps have been, last known was 78 degrees with 2 1000watts @ 12inches form the bottom of the glass. The back of your hand can stay touching the glass with no burn.

Lookin good man. I am in Oregon too with my med card and am just about ready to flip the switch on mine. I'm restricted to a closet for now, but should have a separate veg and bloom area soon. Right now I just have 2 blueberry and 2 white rhino. Gonna take some cuttings soon to get the next batch started and might get my hands on some other strains from the community.
