Cant you get busted by how much electricity you use, i wanna grow inside......i dont wanna get caught thoe, will it be safe?

this is a lie spread by the powers that be to scare you into not growing. if you're just using a 400w, 600w, or even a couple of 1000w HID lights, you will be fine.

now if you're planning some massive indoor crop with hundreds of plants, they will probably notice that.

if you're paranoid get some low energy bulbs for round the house they'll keep the bill down.

I dont see how they can really tell from the bill anyway. All summer we run the shit out of our air conditioners and all winter we run the shit out of our furnace. My bill always fluctuates. I actually havent used the air since I got the bill for it. Steep. They dont know what you use in your house or how much those things run at. Now if you are using the whole house to grow and you have lights all over the place thats a different story.

The way they tell by ur bill is when ur flowering on 12/12 they see that everyday for exactly 12 hours so many units of electricity is used then switched off. Then they will come round ur house with heat detectors then if they get what they want they get a warrant. Then the next morning they bust down ur front door and u fucked. This isnt in all countries but I know it's operational in the UK. They been busting houses like 2 a day in some towns. This has made it hard to get good weed at good prices.

Why dont they leave the herb smokers alone more people are killed by drinking. So many people get violent when they drink, the herb smokers are just chilled. A policeman would tell u the things that people have done on alcohol. I heard of someone that killed someone whilst drunk they never knew they done anything. Woke up in the police cell wearing a paper suit. Free the weed and plant the seed thats what I say.

You can be caught via power usage thats why planning and prevetatives should be made.Things like changing regualar house bulbs with low wattage cfls.If you want to grow a few more then 6 or so plants break the grows up grow 5 on 12/12 and 5 on the opposite 12/12 so the energy is consistant.Rule of thumb to keep in mind.Its fne to assume 1 1000 watt light per bedroom in the house so a 3 bedroom house can use 3 1000 watts without any suspicion but you wanna lower other electrical use as best as you can. Turn off lights not in use.Keep shades down in day to stop sun from heating house to save on ac cost.Keep thermostat at 70. Fix all window leaks and insulate your house and make sure attics have proper rated insulation as older house usually have insuffiecient insulation.Dont tell anyone...anyone about what you may be doing.Pay your power on time.Use digital ballast if possible as they give more light and use 10-30% less electricity then an equal old magnetic ballast.Turn tvs off if not in the room.Unplug things like steroes or other electroncis with standby modes.Shut computers down instead of allowing them to sleep or standby.Plan and dont steal power.Keep your mouth shut and do act suspicious and you should be just fine..Good luck

do you know how much power you actually have to consume before the electric company even raises a brow...people leave radios, tv's, air conditioners and all kinds of other stuff running 24/7...all they know is you use more power than most...they dont' know what's using the power.

C'mon let's be realistic about this before scaring people with propaganda....my two 600w HID's only consume about $25 extra a month over my normal usage, that's nothing anyone will give two shits about....and if you want confirmation that they don't care, I live in Northern CA...PG&E is our local power company 4 of my friends work for them....they don't give a rat's ass how much power u use...long as you pay your bill.

More power is just more money to them...why would anyone want to mess that up????!?!?!?! Like I said, be realistic about this.

I'd worry more about your mouth than your power consumption....biggest reason for getting caught...survey says: "telling your friends"

by the way, I work from home...I have a full server room in my home office running 24/7 amongst many other appliances....my electric bill is 3 times that of my neighbors EVERY month....AND I'VE NEVER ONCE BEEN QUESTIONED, LOOKED AT, OR BOTHERED BY MY ELECTRIC COMPANY.
