The way you get BUSTED is when you show your best friends and family your new hobby...You will be fine, just keep it low profile and secure, dont draw attention to your grow "PLP can see the lights are on in a ceratin room at time intervals".Get privacy shades...(that does not mean paint your windows.. Make it look normal on the out side)...Pay your bills on time and get along with the neighbors...

It all depends on your energy cycle and suspicion. The usgae can be used for a warrant if the cycle can be shown. Like my total bill is around $250 a month in the summer running the ac, pool pump, and about 1400 watts of light plus my big screen is a 300 watt user and I run 4or 5 computers.If you take time to balance the power usage and pay ontime and dont get yourself looked at your ok.Now if you were using $150 a month then you go to $500 a month they may make a usualy outside walk around just to see and may make note if asked by police looking for a warrant because of something like that.Just balance you 12/12 consumption with something else so its not such a huge jump of power at the same time for 8 weeks then goes away then comes back.Caution is good and it keeps you safe

Especially in the US, and in the midwest. The past few weeks has been very hot and people have been using their AC's alot. I have had several brown outs lately just because of the heat, everyones electric bill is up right now.

you guys sweat to much! if the bill is payed every month that is all that matters. If you are the kind of person who never keeps up on paying bill and are slacking thats who the police or whatever want to find, the no good lazy scums is who they want to bust not the every day joe who gets the job done. its the other people who fall behind. Don sweat it be cool be peaceful and everyone will do the same to you .PEACE sorry if i sound retarded.

You guys really are spreading bad propaganda around here....no your power usage CANNOT be used as means to get a warrant.

Look people in order to get busted you have to be doing something that shows signs of illegal activity....AND LARGE OR ERRATIC POWER USAGE DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL.

Furthermore....if the police get suspicious about your power usage...there was something else that made them suspicious about it...they have much stronger evidenc at that junction to use as leverage for a search warrant. AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT...NO ONE CAN EVER KNOW WHAT GOES ON BEHIND THE CLOSED DOORS IN YOUR HOME UNLESS YOU TELL THEM!!! OR IF YOU HAVE A POOR SETUP AND THERE ARE SIGNS OF GROWING POT ALL OVER YOUR HOUSE AND OUTSIDE.


I'll say this again....my power usage is 3 times that of the average person in my neighborhood...and it is very different from winter to summer because I own a heated pool and spa....amongst my home office, full server, 7 computers, ac, heater, 3 plasma tvs, all the appliances that go with them (i.e. vcr, dvd, stereo) and no one gives a fuck....all that means is I'm worth over $700 a month to my power company...now tell me why would anyone want to bother me down at the power company. They don't give a rat's ass what you are doing with their power, pay your bills on time...and don't piss your neighbors off.

by the way, a small piece of advice about neighbors...be nice, if you throw parties or bbq's crap like that, invite them...be social. It does a lot to keep their suspicions down and keeps a nice relationship in the neighborhood.

Damn Filthyfletch said he runs 4 or 5 computers and BCenvy has 7. Im jealous guys i only have 1.

You know while we are all having a silly argument about power consumption...we all missed the simple answer to this guys question.

Can you get caught by how much electricity you use, and you ask this because you want to grow inside? Well....let's look at it this way...wether or not you can or can't...you are far less likely to get caught by your power usage than you are if you grow outside and someone sees your 4foot tall marijuana plant.

Both are a risk...afterall, you are growing pot. But growing inside is as safe as your mouth will keep it. OUT OF SITE OUT OF MIND

i runa ved and flower room. this week the flower room is on from 9am-9pm. next week they will be from 10am-10pm.then about11-11 so forth and so on.
