Default cfl lumen question

hey everyone. i have a grow cabinet with cfl's. i also have a 400 hps hortilux setup. right now vegging i am using the cfl's and things are hunky dory. my q is, when i flower would it be worth switching to the hps? i just worry about raising temps. the cfl's i have are 8-5500k, and 8-2700 24 watters. what are the lumens from that compares to the hps? thanks for the help.

hps put out way more lumens and more light = more bud think about it and ask ur self again is it worth it

i catch your drift white, but lets say i can keep my plants 1" away from cfl's and have to keep them 8" away from hps. then where is the comparison? i know they sell a lumen meter but seems silly to buy one. was wondering the difference in lumens between the two.

hps has way more light and lumens per sq feet. ok say wut one 24 watt cfl puts out 1600 per sq feet and u need at least 3000 per sq feet so............. hps > cfls no compairison
