Hey there fellow RIU'ers! I'm getting close to building my first grow cab for my small closet set-up. I'm in a small Apt. so I dont think I'll be doing anything too drastic so keep this in mind.

My grow space is limited to half of a dual sliding mirrored closet. The dimensions of the actual space is going to be 3ft L x 5ft H x 2.5ft D

Approx. 37.5 cuft total with 7.5 cuft of actual floor space.

Im going to be running a 400W HPS Cooltube and a 172 CFM inline fan to exhaust heat from the cooltube. Intake will be done through a DIY AC and exhaust will be done through DIY Carbon Scrubber and 120mm PC fan.

Ok, with that all said the question is...

I was thinking of breaking the cab into 2. Bottom part Propagation/Clone room (LST) vegged by CFL's. Top part Flowering Chamber Scrog/SOG with 400w HPS.

Since I only have 5ft vertical to work with so I was thinking of keeping the bottom part 1.5 ft tall and the top part 3.5 ft. tall.

Will this be enough space to veg if I don't them grow more than 10" tall (LST) then flower and Scrog the shit outta them??

Plz veterans help me out, I've done lots of research here and wanna get some experience under my belt, but I dont wanna build a FAIL Cab.. Thanks

You should check out my led/t5/400w journal.
I had a perpetual grow in about the same space, you can see for yourself I
posted lots of pics. The lower section is 17 inches and the upper is 34" tall.

I cut a hole in the lower shelf and picked up another four inches and I think that was perfect.
