Mixture of CFL ands HIDS?

I don't want to run 400 watts of HID because i cant afford it right now. However at walmart i found a 60 watt MH light bulbs and at lowes 70 watt sodium bulbs.

still running my 8+ CFLs, i was thinking about adding each of the HIDs at the corresponding life phases.

(MH- vegging)
(sodium- flowering)

thoughts?

You realise that you need ballasts to run HIDs, right?

yeahh not a problem, have 2 old ballast, used to be out door light fixtures im going to take it apart.

Assuming you have the proper size mh and hps ballasts already, I don't see a problem.

I had rhis problem my first year in my dorm. I found the sunsystem 2. Its a 150 hps. Very small. Prob 5inch wide by 1 foot. Puts out around 16,000 lumens. Very efficent. You i got mine 2 yrs ago for 120. But I just googled 150 hps. $72.99 full system with bulb! Good luck. P.s. Youll need ur own chain and eyehooks!!
