hello thar, 1st time grower and writer on the forum, some of my questions are not about grow room design but it makes sense to post them on this thread as there all linked.
Ive done alot of reading and before i germ my seeds i just wanna run through my setup with the wisdom of the forum communtity to check i havent missed anything/doing it wrong....HERE WE GO!
Ive converted a space 8' x 8' into 2 rooms, one for veg and one for flowering.
I have made 2 ebb/flow hydro systems (one for each room), it takes 6 minutes to flood and 6 to drain, would a 15 minute flood and drain every 3 hours be sufficient?
I have a fairly big nute res compared to my flood tray size, is it ok to have a large amount of nute mixed up in res or does it detierate/go bad? (im aware u need to adjust the ph and nute strength, would having a larger amount mixed up mean u can go leave your nutes for longer before doing a full nute change?)
im using a 400watt hps/reflector in my flower room and a some flourescents lower down to give some light to the lower canopy to help them bushout abit more (in theory)
in my veg room its pretty much the same setup except a 250watt hps.
ventilation could be an issue, the room i converted is at the back of a shipping container, i have an extractor fan sucking air from the flower room and blows it into the front section of the container but aside from that its sealed, i do go in the container daily so it does get fresh air let into it but do you think i will need co2 in the grow rooms? i also have an oscilliating fan in each room.
temperature stays at about 25 degrees, day and night.
in my flower room im gona have 6 plants and in my veg a mother and clones ready to fill the flower room again.
