Default has anyone experimented with using dry ice for CO2???
So... I was thinking about alternative ways to up the CO2 levels in my GR. And wondered if anyone here has used dry ice and water to do this? I was thinking if hanging a small bucket directly over each hood, then add water and dry ice daily, thus producing co2, it would flow down directly over the hood, cooling it, maybe, and then down to my guys. What do you guys think? Any experience here would be helpfull, and much appreciated.

Ya it's not worth the trouble... melts fast and the $$ really adds up.. Try a 5 gal bucket with water, 7lb of sugar and a packet of brewers yeast.. put a lid on the top and drill a hole for a tube, run the tube to the top of the plant... You can also add some fruit juice mix to make wine... or when you go to your local brew shop to get the yeast pick up a wine kit... The biproduct co2 for your plants and when the mixture fstops producing co2 you have wine---or beer

If you go the dry ice method you'll be making daily trips to the store for it. The cheapest way is fermentation as stated above. Once the batch gets going you just add a little water and a little sugar every 4-5 days and it'll stay alive indefinitely. Be warned, smells terrible.

Thats awesome! I will do this today. I'd like to know when to do Co2? Veg/Flower/both? And specifically (or does it matter) exactly how much and how often do you "add"....as I am learning, blindly adding anything anytime and anywhere spells disaster.

Thanks again for the help!
