Ive Recently been getting things ready for a grow that will take place around November. Every time i get enough money around I purchase another part of the system and put it together. So to get everyone up to date on where i am at in constructing my set up and what my plans are ill explain a little more in detail what i have done and what i plan to do.
Ok Im a little short on space so im operating out of a HydroHut 2*4*7. Currently im using an air cooled hood with a 400 watt future bright electronic ballast which ill use eye hortilux bulbs in vegging with a eye hortilux blue M/H bulb and budding with the eye hortilux super Hps. As far as my ventilation goes i got a 4" 170 CFM inline fan and filter combo from HTG.. (seems to work well but a little loud) The way the ventilation is running is like this...Filter(at highest level in Hut >Fan sucking>blowing thru air cooled hood> 4 " duct booster 70 CFM >then the hot scrubbed air is bieng dumped into a crawl space.
On to the Hydro system...I decided to go with Recirculating DWC and im running 4 5 gallon buckets. The buckets are staggered in a way to make the most of the space available. Im using a resivor and controller...(my feed lines get there pressure from a magdrive 500 gph pump, which i believe to be over kill... I hope that i can just turn down the main inline valve to reduce pressure...not sure how this will work, I may have to downgrade to a 250?)I have modified my hut to accept the feed and return lines at ground level. Return lines are 3/4" and the feed lines are 1/2"...each bucket has 2 1/4" feed lines comming off of the main 1/2"feed line spraying into each bucket for recirculation of nutes. The return line has a fail safe overflow, after water reaches 3 inches above overflow it will begin to drain back into main return lines and bypass the main return that could have became obstructed by roots or other matter. As far as air diffusers go, im still deciding but looking at Micro pore air difusers eather the double air diffuser or double xl air diffuser... The air pump im using isn an ActiveAqua commercial air pump which produces 45 liters per minute...so thats like 11.25 liters per minute per bucket of air. (I hope thats enough) If not ill get one more and just split each one 2 ways instead of 4 giving 22.5 liters per bucket per minute?...I hope one will work though? Next moth im investing in a activeaqua 1/10 hp chiller...and everything else that ive not purchased yet or have forgot about.
I would like to figure out a way to run Co2 enrichment, Obviously it wasent in my plans...im willing to make changes to get this to work, but it just dont seem feasible. How would I go about cooling the tent as well as keeping smell in and scrubbed? I guess this isent that big of a deal, plants will grow without Co2...would just like that little boost considering my lack of grow area! any and all suggestions are welcome here. Oh I almost forgot, Im going to be growing SCROG style..First time...I made my Scrog net the other day..the holes are 7" Im thinking maybe i should make them a bit smaller...also how far above the plants should i plan on placing the net? any info in this regard would also be appreciated.

****Also trying to figure out what nutes to go with...Ive been playing with GH Flora nova with supplements Floralicious plus, liquid Kool bloom, and sub culture M and B... Tomato plants seem to love it but well, thats not MJ..So, anyone try a regime like this with any success.

My other thought was just going with the GH 3 part with the same supplements and subcultures?....any with opinions or experience?

*** System will be complete by the end of next month as funding comes in complete and then some the second week of september.. the grow will be ready to get off mid november. would like to be sooner but due to technical issues things will be alot better off if i chill a bit...as bad as i dont want to!so again any info i can gain from those of you who know, have been here and done this and are willing to share your ideas and or experiences in an attempt to get me off in the right direction Thank you in advance!
