okay i need a pro to answer this question seriously and not some dumbass that is gonna get me killed.

first of all i want to know is there any danger hooking up my computer fan to an ac/dc adapter(that plugs into the wall) i think its a phone charger --- will i get shocked -- ?

Second thing i want to know is there any protective material i can wrap around the showing wires (if it is dangerous) so that if it hits off anything or if i touch it i wont get shocked?

much appreciated to the electrician or smart person that answers this question

There are threads outlining the proper way to do it. You need a 12v adapter...usually cell phone charges work well.

I've done it, it works fine, you aren't going to shock yourself. Check the DIY sub-forum and you'll find all the info you need.

This is completely safe and quite simple! Yes, you can rewire the PC fan to your phone charger (but make sure they are near the same volt req.!). As for wrapping around the wire, I'd just use some electrical tape.
