So I got distracted the other day while cleaning up some old scrap wood and started building a Veg Box. I'm planning on building a Flower box in a bit, but I have a few bits of equipment to pick up still.
My VEG box is only 17x17x17. I have a small p.c. fan for exhaust with a passive intake hole. I have a double socket light fixture that I'm going to hang from the top of the box, it will be adjustable so that I can get close to my plants without burning them.
For lights as of now I have 2 100w replacement CFL's. 1600 Lumens each. Will I be needing more light in there to start 4-6 plants? I'm planning on only growing them in there until they are about 8"-10" tall. That's when I would like to transfer the best four of them to my flowering box, where I will have 1 or 2 400w HPS lights. (depending on how big the hoods are and what I can do for heat control)
I would like to keep my Flowering box as small as possible, but I would like to use the little bit of space I have to its fullest potential. So I'm thinking that my Flower box will be about 4' tall, 2' wide, 2' deep.
Would this be a good way to start out a personal stealth grow? Or should I just skip the VEG box and start all my ladies in my flower box with the HPS lights?
The strain that I will be growing first will most likely be one I've never heard of... Juicyfruit crossed with Trainwreck. An unfortunate pollen mishap has ended in some potentially great seeds. If anyone reading this has any experience in growing either I would really like to know some of the stats on your grow and technique. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why not upgrade your veg-box ventilation a little? Put a cheap duct blower in the top of it, or add a couple more PC fans; then you can add enough floro's - sounds like you need 8 or 10 for what you're doing. It also depends what the ambient room temperature is; you can count on 10 degrees warmer in the grow.

Or use 4 - 23w CFL's (100w equiv) in Veg, and grow 4 plants at a time.

I have 10 23w in a space that size, Plexiglas's separating the bulbs from the grow, and several PC fans ventilating it.
