Welcome to the forum. The knee wall space you are talking about is not a good idea. its right under the roof you see and that space will be an oven in summer and a refrigarator in the winter. VV

By summer next year I won't be growing there. As far as it being cold during winter, it probably gets around 55-60 degrees at its coldest. It is right next to a large heated room and has heating pipes running through it for baseboard heating on the 2nd floor. It is also very well insulated, and with the addition of lights I would be willing to guess it will maintain a temp of around 70-75 during the cold months. Thanks for welcoming me and thanks for any comments.

I actually took a series of pictures a few hours ago while I was working on it. I ran in to a few issues with setting up a fake wall for easy access. Going to run to Home Depot and buy paint along with some sheets of plywood tommorrow morning. I will upload the pictures then. Thanks again for the assistance.

Heres an issue to keep in mind.In attics or such small dead space upstairs heat will be rough.I grew in my attic which was 10 feet tall by 30 feet long by 20 feet wide and heat is a bitch. You will want to insulate between the beams then use 1/2 inch white foam board to nail to the entire roof and walls in the grow are this will stop the shingle heat as temps shouldnt be above 80 degrees F and I know Im in a cool are but attic temps hit 109 often even with huge venting system. You will need to run an a/c line duct into the area to keep temps down.Your best bet is grow a mom take clones and toss short young clones right into veg at no more then 6 inches to get 12-18 inch plants at finish.Dont waste money on cfls get a simple 400 watt hps or 2 250 setup from homedepot.Cfls make too much heat and dont give off enough light for any decent bud and if you get enough to grow you just spent more then a 400 watt hps
