i have a problem with my plants smelling and there not in veg yet they are a hash plant strain. where i live there is nobody around but a hwy and the cops pull people over all the time right infront of the house but we still have 250 feet of trees inbetween the hwy and the house but i want to get a odor sok if they work. i am looking at one thats rated for a 1000cfm fan i was wondering if any body has used one and for how long they last i was told that if you keep the humidity down it will last longer

I've seen people on other forums that I turst their judgement say that they work well. Not sure they'll last as long as a Can Filter/charc unit..but they are light and chepaer at the onset. I'd say go for it if you have any smell. Better safe than sorry..

i figer if i have to buy a canister style filter it would cost me $400 and for a oder sok it will cost me $160 and they say that they last 18 months well if they last 12 months then im happy i will buy one every year then thanks for the help i dont trust a store becuace they just whant to sell you shit i would trust someone ho has tryed them they dont have a resson to lie

I got mine from a local hydro shop. I believe the brand name is a canair 9000. It's about 2 foot long and about 1 foot or so in circumfrance. It's rated at 110 cfm. I was stupid and only mounted a 80 cfm fan, I should have probably went with 150 +. Total cost for fan and filter with ALL the duct work was about $130. That's with the exhaust flashed on the roof and the "good" ducting I bought (heat treated). There is a pic about 1/2 way through my thread somewhere. I'll look and see if i can find it.

You can see my fan if you look real close towards the bottom of the pic. It's inside the duct.
