HEY just wanted to see if anyone out there had info on buildin a grow tent...i saw someones thread on here...cant find it tho...any help would be much appreciated.

welll i would definatley start by getting a good tent, doesnt even have to be ment for growing. then cut one hole out for fan or air and open the front flap to keep it circulating. i would then cut two holes in the top and run a pole through it and have it attached to something to make it stay.( that will be where your lights go). i mean thats a basic one if you have money restrictions. if your having trouble how to do it, make alot of sketches and designs first of how you want to do it or possibilities then you can see which one you can afford. nobody can tell you the specs,unless they just tell you the specs of theirs which they probably have a regular tent which means it is pointless in telling you the specs if you can just go out and buy it. if your looking at grow boxes i just had one made a week ago and its 2ft by 2ft by 3ft tall, it took 30 mins to build. good luck

I have 2 Sun hut tents and they're great. I am interested in making a custom sized one for a long narrow space I have.

What did you use for materials? Did you use a sewing machine? How about the frame? How elaborate is yours? Zippers? Vents?

I have learned that I don't always have to re-invent the wheel.

check out the pics...i used pvc pipe for the frame...took about 50 feet of it...and then the fittings...covered with heavy duty black film....home depot......outside with mylar...installed a zipper....bingo bango bongo...its just a bloom tent...no need for light i just need a nice dark spot...and it is i got lost
