i have to agree but in your situation i would leave one of the vents on the hood with nothing on it and have the fan sucking on the other side and then blow it out a window or through the roof in to the attic or something, if your only venting from the tent to the room then the hot air is just getting sucked right back through the whole set up causing the sky high temps, your 250 cfm fan is plents to cool the 1000, its what you do with the hot air thats fucking you right now, with any temp above mid 80's your going to need co2 to make them grow but shit, once you get the light vented right temps wont be an issue and you will be putting down some fire in that tent, those plants will grow some nugs that are tighter than a 12 year old

I don't care what you say, with that closet door closed, and a 1000 watt light on, NO FUCKING WAY will you get cooler than mid 80s. I bet upper 90s even the way fat sam says to do, maybe he didn't read how small your space actually is. Good thoughts, but in that small of a area there's no way, I'll bet my life on it!!!!! But if you live in an apartment, it would be crazy to run ducting through the walls, and exhaust to outdoors, if you have an attic even that would be nuts cutting holes in roofs and shit. fuck that. get a new light. or bigger space.

i agree with this guy. Im trying to run a 400watt hps in cooltube in a cabinet in a closet..in a room that averages 79*... it just isnt going to happen. here i come portable ac unit! woo

Also, make sure that ballast remains outside the tent. You can easily start a fire if you keep it all closed up in the closet, and the heat from the ballast won't help your situation either. Sell that 1000watt light on ebay, and buy a digital 400 watt, or 600 watt... 1000 watt light performs best in open well ventilated areas, such as a grow room, not closet... Don't burn your apartment complex down dude.

Yeah. I have decided to get the 1000 watt out. Im going to buy a 400w mh and put it in my closet. I found a large crawlspace to put the 1000. Im thinking of setting up a stadium style free flow system. in there and use the closet to grow moms. I just ordered Mazar kush from attitude seed bank. i get a free auto quicksilver seed as well.

For now ill just use the 6 or so cfls i have laying around and get this mystery seedling going. more pics soon.

wow i couldnt imagine having a 1000w in my cab. its 3x3x7.5' I use 600w, cool tube. Had to also continuously exaust the room to get lower temps. But im using a sealed room so i got a closed loop ac that mounts to the side of the cabinet and dosent exchange any air. The 1000w is overkill. the money you save using the 600 will pay for itself int he decreased energy to run the light and cool the room. I know you got the 1000 cheap but in the long run it will be alot more expensive when you will most likely get the samr esults with a lower wattage.

I've got a 4'x3'x6' spot I was thinking of putting a 1000 watter in. Still gonna try, I don't mind modifying landlords property lol.

My new spot is about 5x5x5. I dont mind modifying my brothers property.lmao
