Lightbulb How To: Cheat on a High School Math Test
I'm starting construction of a small grow space over the next couple weeks. After the set-up is complete I will post a link to a grow journal for it.

I'm setting up a perpetual system using:

2 400w Air Cooled HPS
2 T8 Flourecent lights
4 Aeroponic fog tub set ups holding ten plants each
1 HomeBox XS for mothers
and a closet for flowering

I will be growing seven strains to start with then six perpetually:
1. Satori
2. Killawatt
3. Gigabud
4. Train Wreck
5. White Rhino
6. HiJack
7. White Dwarf

The tubs are 18gal and hold ten plants each. I use ten 3" net pots with hydroton. I'll post more details on how these are built after I start building them.

I posted a few pics to start:
1.Pic of one of the tubs
2.Pic of the foggers
3.Pic of one of the foggers outside the box.

First step for the tubs is to drill holes for 3" Net Pots. Picture #1

Here is one with all the holes drilled, a total of ten plant sites. Picture#2

Next drill a small hole for the fogger cord. Picture #3

Drill another small hole, I put mine on the opposite side b/c my air-pump is outside the grow room. Picture #4

Last is the fogger sitting in its float. The long black thing is a Sunleaves diffuser. It is like a flexible air-stone so you can bend it to any shape. Got them for only $4.20ea @ my local hydro shop. Picture #5

I'll post more when I get them up and running, just waiting on my net pots and my seeds to sprout.

will you be using the air hose to splash water on the roots?
it has been said that the dry fog alone will not support a large plant.

It's a combination system (DWC/Aero-fog). The tubs are filled a little over half way with nutrient solution, the fogger floats in it making fog. The black "hose" is actually a flexible air stone. Eventually the roots grow long enough that some are submerged in the nutrient solution. I'm getting my net pots tomorrow, just waiting for the seeds to sprout. Some have already popped. Once the pop I'll post pics of them running.

It is actually a very simple easy to make system just hard to fully explain when I don't have them running yet.

your nute soup will crust up the fogger disc and may not operate

and the long roots may even catch the floating fogger causing more safety hazards and shit

good luck anyway

Never had problems with that. I've done many grows with these tubs. They are not made for huge plants but work great for a SOG.

I don't use my usual H202 with the foggers though it tends to corrode them. The disc is made of ceramic so it is easily cleaned with every reservoir change. Hygrozyme keeps the whole thing pretty clean. I also don't use any other additives with this set up and it will not work well with organic based nutrients. I use Ionic nutrients because they don't leave sediment and dissolve really easily.

No safety hazards either the foggers are made to shut off if water gets under the disc or if there is not enough water covering the disc. I've never had a problem with the roots and it is easy enough to move the fogger to a corner.

My basic nutrient mix for this set-up is:
1. Ionic Grow/Bloom
2. Ph Down
3. Hygrozyme

Thats it.

Yeah can't run high salt concentrations with the foggers. The best part is that you don't need too! I use about 30% less nutrients than flood trays. The fog makes for really efficient nutrient uptake. The roots develop tons of tiny hairs and water droplets condense on them. I'll take pictures of all that when time comes.
