hey im new to growing and im starting in approx. a week this will be my tread for help until i start and then it will be my grow journal i am new and i need all the help i can get so please post any advice or comments thank you and here are my materials

P.S this is a very low budget grow because i have no job but i will get it down i no i can with the encouragment of you guys

MATERIALS:

• hourly timer for lights
• a 3 pack of 26w cfls warm white i am guessing(doesnt say on bulb or box)
• desk lamp light fixtures
• white printing paper for reflection on the walls(better then foil? foil causes heat spots doesnt it?)
• hooks for using chains to adjust the lights/batwing reflector?? can i make one with foil? will it work if i just use cardboard and staple foil onto the one side and fold/bend it at the right angle?
• power bar to plug in to timer and plug the lights/ fan(s) into
• garbage bag for sealing space between the grow and the cabnit door to seal light leaks for stealth
• hockey tape
• staples/stapler
• knife/siscors

• hooks,nails,screws, tac for the paper reflection

MATERIALS I AM BUYING STILL:

• seeds(i am buying 2 already germed seeds off my friend with the tap root already out)
• seeds(i am buying 1-2 seeds that are just well seeds:P but not germed to see if they work
• best soil at walmart i searched and there was none but i whent there to get the bulbs and timer yesterday and i saw marical grow but i was in a hurry so i didnt look for soils but i will look for the best brand(i dont no which one to get marical gro or pro-mix?)
• marical grow i heard doesnt work but i heard pro-mix does? which brand of pro-mix? theres different ones and i need help with this
• a small silent desk/personnal fan(cheap/small)(not buying til a week into grow)(i may need help on how to silence a fan if it is not a computer fan and a cheap 4" desk fan what do i do? (NOT EXHUAST OR IN TAKE JUST INSIDE THE GROW SPACE)

• actived carbon(not til later for odar control i will make a small but deadly carbon filter once i need to and attach it to the fan inside the grow space

and thats it do you guys think it will work? the grow space is about 9" wide 16" in hight
and 15" in depth and the lights give off 1750 lumens is that good enough with 3 for 2-4 plants? short? i dont need alot of yeild i just want approx. a oz. of dryed cured bud off all the plants i grow each harvest can i get that? the lights will be on 12/12 from seed, and no nutes will be added but about a week in or 2 i will buy or get 1-3 worms and just put them in the soil so the plant will get better nutreants will that work? and if i get pro-mix or marical gro do i just use it? or do i need to mix it with perlite? 50% pro-mix/marical gro and 50% perlite? is that what i do? please help me im new

P.S this is bagseed,stealth,soil,cfl,12/12 from seed,small yeild, fast grow, and just to gain a little over or a little under a oz. of DRIED bud and to gain experience thank you and please help and post any comments or advice happy 4:20

worms are great. i would suggest getting fox farm potting soil as it is high in nutrients. they make 125 watt grow bulbs. miracle grow is fine, the more pear;lite you use the more likely you will have to water your plants you could run the flouros on veg on any time peiod you want some people use 24 hour lighting. 12 hours darkness is for budding. if you plan on using seeds on 12/12 you should grow about 6 . in 3 in square pots i bet that would work. if you dont have a veg period plants will just have little buds up the center. use wide short depth pots like tubbaware. you should leave the seed on 14 hour lights and they switch to 16 hours when it gets bigger. then when your ready to flower at about 9 inch or so turn them to 12 hours. good luck i wana see some pics if you have more questions feel free to ask. you might get an oz. idk maybe get 2 125 watters and mix the color spectrums. pc fans work good for exauhst or intake. wall mart has really cheap little 6 inch fans.

yeah i took and old 132watt pc power supply and wired it to turn on when pluged into the wall. it powers all my fans inside my cab. and my computer is louder then the cab hahaha.

thanks +rep i will try and get fox farm if its there but if its not ill just get that marical gro cuz its really cheap but the bags too big when i saw it:P i need it to fit in my back pack i aint carrying no god damn huge 3' x 2' bag of soil:P and i think ill get perlite and mix it about 25% perlite and 50% soil ill see:P
and yea thats where im getting the fan is walmart their only like $5-$10 so its good but i need to silence it so when the cab door is closed and nothing else besides the lights in the cab is running so someone can walk in my room and no hear a fan u know? and what marical gro name do i get? theres moistar control and seedling starter and all kinds of shit i needa no and what pics do u want the cab? i can get it but its just a empty cab with white paper would foil be better? ill post them in a second just shavin my head hold up

Hey, we're both noobs. I just started growing to save money, but I love the genetics involved in this stuff. It really is fascinating.

I set up my stealth grow in the back of a large closet. I have to be smell-free so I chose to use a small space while I experiment with this first grow. I'll start a new thread when I get closer to flowering. I'm on a very tight budget too, so I had to rummage for stuff to put this together. This is the start of my lil' veg area.

nice stuff ill post pics in one min i just couldnt yesterday because i had to go put in some work with my cuz

i am making(already done) a reflector for the 3 cfls it is the top of a shoe box and i put foil over it and cut out three holes and the lights fit in perfectly
i am not done it because i have to screw in the hooks and connect chain on the reflector to the hooks but i should be done soon and then i will post pics of the grow cabnit with the lights installed

I'm about to start growing my first real batch, as well. I'll be using a 4-CFL setup inside a 2'x3'x4' box in my closet. I'm gonna have a hell of a time keeping the smell down lol

And I as for budget? I'm shooting for under $30. So far, I haven't spent one cent of my own money. Afro-engineering all the way, baby!

marijuanas a weed so you should just get the seed starter mix it should have great aeration. 4 plants using 3 inch deep by 3 ich wide pots would work great like powerade bottoms or juice bottle botttoms .weed grow great wide becuase the roots love to spread out and thus create more branching. maybe like 3ich square pots good luck sounds like a fun project thanks for the rep. those lights dont work very well as far as i hear. whats the kelvin on them? cri? eco plus grow lamp 105 watts 7,600 lumins at 6500k kelvin60 dollers for 6 bulbs soket is like 40

the cfls i have are 26w i believe 2700k but it doesnt say i JUST set up the reflector out of a top of a shoe box and attached screws with chains and attached them all to ONE hook on the top of the box i think i will find it easier to add/take away dvd cases under the plant pot then ajusting all the hooks
i need soil and i was told that pro-mix,marical gro,and triple mix are good(NOT marical gro but if i cant get any other ones from walmart then iwill be getting marical gro)
i have a timer a powerbar white pinting paper for reflection on the walls and roof/floor of the cab i still need to get the seeds(already have a source for already germed seeds($2 each good? there bagseeds not the best gentics i assume))

i am not really a noob becuz i have read and searched almost everything for about a year now and tryed once but failed due to very bad envirment and i was younger (1
all i still need is the soil and pots and to install the garbage bag for no light leaks (doing right now and it takes approx. 5 mins:P)
