I wanted to share my safety policy with ya'll. Your room or space you use ideally has a bath room where you can remove the sink and put in a garbage disposal. My space is a room that has an attached bathroom, I also grow vegetables and legal mushrooms (shrooms put off CO2 hint hint) in the same room so there is reason for my system's to be there. Another thing, garbage service is a public good and the cans public property, meaning throwing away clippings is like giving away evidence, they can even remove your entire trash can with it's contents and replace it so the disposal is great for everyday trimmin'

Put it close to your op. Most can eat a plant per minute. Leave the water running, follow with bleach or draino.

Costco also has really cheap wireless camera's you could get to see who's knocking before you open and they push they're way in.
Another reason to grow more than just herb is the smell factor, lemon mint, mint, basil, oregano, rosemary etc. all great.

I don't throw any plant material away either it just gets minced up down the disposal just like you said, or composted.

Also if i to have to throw anything away such as a box that i ordered something in... i first and foremost remove anything that could identify me and then tear what ever it is into small pieces and throw the pieces away in two different trash cans in my home. That way i'm forced to split up the contents between two different garbage bags that are thrown away at different times with out even knowing it.
