magnets and my ballast

hey guys, im just building a new stealth box using a speaker as the front for it. will the magnet in the speaker be bad new for my magnetic ballast?

A magnetic ballast is just a steel core wrapped in copper wire, a big transformer. A speaker is just a big mgnet so the worst you'll probably do is stick the two together.

If you have open connections on the ballast and they stick together you could get shocked thru the metal frame of the speaker to your skin.

If you keep them seperated you should be fine.
