I got myself a 100 cfm bathroom fan for a 4x3x8 foot space and I'm going to attach a DIY Honeywell carbon air filter , is this overkill? Can a bathroom fan be run on a dimmer? I already wired it to an extension cord so it can be plugged in but If a dimmer can be added I'll splice it in, does anyone run their bathroom fans on a dimmer?
Thanks in advance.

This is the fan I bought:

You can never have too much airflow, you should be alright, although I usually find bathrooms fans to be loud, hows that one sound?

Bathrooms fans aren't designed to be run on a dimmer. It'll might work, but I'd advise against it.

Thanks guys, the fan isn't too loud, it's loud enough to be annoying but not enough to attract any attention and I don't spend all that much time around my grow closet anyways so it won't bother me.
